Even formal living rooms can be warm inviting spaces
This is a typical living room layout but the use of fabrics united with fully accessorized spaces takes it the level of a room everyone would long to linger in. Note the Bachelor's chest in the recessed area, many homes would have built in bookcases for this area but the chest, gilded mirror and accessories provide richness and depth to the space. Every opportunity is used to beautify the space.

Modern meets Country
This living room uses classic furniture and antiques but combines them with soothing contemporary colors and minimalistic decor to create a very attractive living room. Get this look with my camel backs, tea tables, wrought iron floor lamps, and tilt top table. Paint the walls white and use Finnarhen & Haley's Independence Hall Quill for the Trim.

This is the layout of the living room in most houses. Could this look be yours?
The warm color, gilded mirrors, brass chandelier and rich looking oriental transform this room from typical to extraordinary. I like all the accessories and lamps. The circular table between the chairs in front of the window and the chests on either side of the fireplace give added dimension.

Cozy bedroom turned office with tall secretary & nice window treatments. Small oriental adds to the look.

Again the use of yellow walls, gilded mirrors, nesting tables and rich mahogany flame chest adds elegance to this family friendly living room. The floating of the furniture a creates a conversation area instead of a museum look.

I always carry gilded mirrors in various sizes, shapes and prices.

Notice how this room is warmed by the dark wall color and large oriental. I don't care for the tree but I like how the armoire adds vertical height. Again see how pretty the large gilded mirror is in this room.

An office can be carved out of any space but by using an antique table as your desk- your computer station becomes beautiful not just a utilitarian eyesore.

Wow - this is a glamorous foyer.

Console tables, lamps mirrors, art, orientals. I have all of this at tremendous savings over designer prices.

Get the Look for Less with my Oval mirror over your bed.
Now this is a classy room - just make sure to hang it the mirror securely!! I have several oval mirrors you could use. Also note that this very modern room is softened with the brass chandelier and mirror.

Get the look for less with my farm table and my Botanicals
There is nothing as welcoming as an old farm table. Guests and family alike just want to pull up a chair. I try to always carry farm tables and botanicals as well.

Use one of my desks as a night table to get rid of the cookie cutter look of a bedroom

Table warms tile floors.
The drop leaf table warms up this dining room despite the cold tile floors. Keeping the table nicely set is a great staging trick.

Add furniture and color to a plain foyer.
Imagine this foyer without the paint, orientals and furniture. It would be dramatic but cold. I love yellow paint with white woodwork. Yellow is tricky though, try Benjamin Moore Straw or Philadelphia Cream. Adding furniture and orientals makes this foyer look more like a room.

Model House Bedroom
Again I love the night tables to be unusual. A round table on one side and a desk on the other side is in all the model homes. Here the antique desk adds unexpected warmth and charm. Again a mirror over the bed is used as well as a bench at the foot.

Dramatic Living Room
This two story living room was brought down to earth with the use of molding. The tall highboy is the prominent piece. I love a highboy in living rooms - I have one in mine. It is great to have vertical pieces in any space.

They say the first room you should decorate is the foyer where guests enter. Many guests never get past the front door. A console table, mirror and Chinese urns give classic elegance to this entry.

The look of a classic Camel back and tall tea table can be used in a formal or informal home.

A simple cottage bedroom is warmed by a colorful oriental.

I love this use of a mirror.
A typical bathroom mirror is now given an unexpected twist with a leaning gilded antique mirror propped up against the builder's mirror.

Another wall gets an elegant lift with a mirror and console table.

Romantic Cottage Bedroom
The gilded mirrors, brass chandelier and bench add charm, warmth and light. Again the use of different bedside tables adds to the room. To get this color use Martha Stewart "Rainwater" from Home Depot.

A desk under the window in your bedroom, a bench at the foot of the bed both add to change your bedroom from typical to inviting.

This bedroom is not fancy but it is warm and pretty. Lamps, fabrics, settee and upholstered chair as well as the french bench give the room a voice which says sit and relax.

Use a Kindel or put your paperbacks in bins in the closet. Nothing can beat the look of old books especially rows of a single color. Books can be stacked vertically or horizontally.

How many orientals and where to place them?
Here is a space that uses many different shapes and sizes of carpets in a cohesive way. The trick is to keep the rugs in the same color palette.

Elegant bedroom which is cozy at the same time.
This designer room looks designed but also lived in. I like to see the bed when you first enter a bedroom. Here the bed looks great under the windows. There are so many colors used in this room but they go well together, beginning with the bold salmon walls. The brass chandelier takes the finished look all the way to the ceiling.

Bold slamon color and white wood work add drama to this foyer.
If I could do it over I would have my Bannister, risers and floor a dark mahogany color like this stair case. The creative use of antique Botanicals add an unexpected charm.

Is this a store? What are your hours?

No, this is just my home but it is easy to come by. You can visit by calling for an appointment or stop by on special Saturday sales. These Saturdays are announced on my Home Page or by email announcement. I can’t take credit cards, only cash

How can I get my purchases home?

If it is local, I can try to have it delivered for a fee but I can’t make any guarantees. It you would like to rent a Uhaul here is their local number. 610-430-7040 www.uhaul.com

For long distance delivery there are several companies you can use. These are reputable companies but I am not endorsing them just letting you know they are out there.

They will ask you for the weight and size of the item to give you an estimate. I recommend just giving them an approximate size to get an idea of the cost. Then compare different companies. Call the company too, don’t just rely on email. Long distance delivery requires you to arrange for the delivery with one of these companies or another company of your choosing. I will send you lots of pictures and descriptions of the item you would like. Next, send me a check for the item, then it can be picked up by your shipper.

Can an item be mailed?

Yes I can mail most small items. Small items usually cost $15 to be mailed.

Do you take credit cards?

No, I only take cash or sometimes a check.

Are these items new?

No, you should assume that almost all of the items are used. Many items look like they are new but this is not a store and you must assume that they are used but “like new”. Many items are antique, so some wear is to be expected. Even if the item came out of a model house it must be called “used”.

Do you provide decorating services?

Yes I will come to your local home and go over all of your questions and ideas. We can look at every room in your house. Sometimes just another person’s objective eye will help you come up with ideas you might not have thought about. We can even move furniture around! After that I will keep an eye out for you for items I know you are looking for. $150 for a local visit.

How much does it cost for home staging?

Allow me to give you the objective advice you need to sell your home at the highest price in the fastest time. I can also provide you the names of painters, flooring and contracting specialists to get your home ready to sell. $150 for a home staging visit.

What services can you provide for realtors and builders?

In addition to providing a home staging consultation for your client I can also provide model home furnishing and decoration, staging of empty homes and supplemental staging of existing homes which need a little extra to get them sold. I have provided home staging and model house services for many realtors and builders in the area. I can provide references and testimony of houses that I have staged including how some were sold in as quickly as a week after my staging was completed.

Do you provide other decorating services?

$50 hour for room redesigns, shopping services, , window treatments, new construction selection assistance, and moving day placement help.

Think of other locations for art besides your walls by placing artwork on easels around your home. Another great place to hang art is on the center molding of a bookcase. It is best to hang your art low enough so it relates to the furniture below it. Often no higher than 18 “ above a table . Also try grouping smaller piece together to make one large statement.
